A naturally geothermally heated river you can bathe in, reached by a 3km hike through a steaming geothermal valley. The river runs warm enough to swim in year-round. Completely free, entirely natural, and utterly extraordinary. Fumaroles vent on both sides of the trail. One of Iceland's most memorable outdoor bathing experiences.
